Just tell nothing against wind turbines

In any other State, wind energy enjoys wide support, such as in Schleswig-Holstein - no matter, as originates in the Landtag election. The business is too lucrative. © John Eisele\/AFP\/Getty image Windräder and cow near Husum, Schleswig-Holstein.

Who is on the way to Sylt in the Northern Baltic railway, the juckelt for hours through the vast, empty landscapes of Schleswig-Holstein. The ride goes past grazing sheep, tired chewing Black colored - and especially numerous wind turbines.
More than 2,700 windmills with a capacity of more than 3,200 megawatts revolve in Schleswig-Holstein. Although not just plenty of room is: Schleswig-Holstein is Germany's second smallest State. Theoretically corresponds to the installed capacity of the power of three nuclear power plants. The proportion of green electricity in electricity consumption in the country is around 48 percent. Only Lower Saxony has been more new wind turbines to the grid last year than Schleswig-Holstein.
This will change little. No matter how the Landtag election next Sunday fail is: on the development of the wind energy is not shaken. Schleswig-Holstein is full of friends of the wind, where you look. The Union has written even the goal to the flags themselves, to provide the State purely constructed completely with green electricity in 2020.
Wind power in Schleswig-Holstein is indispensable for Jost de Jager, the Schleswig-Holstein candidate and current Minister of the economy. Already in 2009, coalition partner FDP campaigned for the phase-out of nuclear power. Similarly, the opposition parties see it. Even the pirates determine in their thin manifesto: The energy production is in Schleswig-Holstein a major economic activity. The proportion of green electricity should increase. How much percent? The pirates want to not betray prefer that.
Either way: for the wind power lobby are fantastic conditions. There is a more than consensus as on national level to implement the energy revolution - and indeed across all party lines in Schleswig-Holstein, says Hermann Albers, which wind energy presides not only the Federal Association, but even from Schleswig-Holstein there operates a wind farm.
Wind energy as an economic factor.
The reason for the support is simple: wind power will help the economy. The structurally weak areas Land Schleswig-Holstein manages compared with the economic provinces only in the midfield. Agriculture and tourism are the main industries, Werften-and fishing deaths have added to the country in the past. With Kiel and Lübeck, there are just two cities; here in the North Otherwise just much width. And many wind turbines.
The policy relies completely on the promotion of wind energy. In three years the State wants to have - tripled almost its capacity to approximately 9,000 megawatts to the annoyance of some citizens who fear for health and real estate values. The Frisians and Dithmarscher with their green power want to make happy all Germany: by 2020, they want to cover up to 10% of German electricity consumption. We are a country of wind power, says economy Minister de Jager.
This is due above all to history. Hardly any other province, wind energy is so deeply rooted as in Schleswig-Holstein. Here, Germany's first wind farm in 1987 went west coast to the network. Years earlier had fiddled at wind turbines already farmers and techie. Growian was built in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog, on the West Coast, one of the windiest areas in Germany, in 1983. The wind plant was the world's largest wind power plant with three megawatts. A prestige project of German engineering, which flopped and was dismantled after only a few years.
In the 1990s, the idea of the citizen wind parks was born in Schleswig-Holstein. Here are private individuals as comrades in a wind farm - and benefit directly from the revenue from the sale of green electricity. The district Nordfriesland is now a stronghold of this citizen engagement: around 90 percent of the wind farms are firmly in the hands of the local population. Our idea of participation is an example for all Germany, says wind lobbyist Albers. Creates acceptance, whole village communities opt for wind farms.
This became clear last year, when local authorities could expel new sites for wind turbines. The country intends to increase the exclusive area for wind farms throughout the country in the coming years by 1.2 percent to 1.5 percent. No district amateurishly doing with such ambitious plans to like Nordfriesland: here offered to local authorities just eight times as much area as the country actually saw before.
The EEG can be the cash register ringing.
The latest figures of the Federal Association of the electricity and water sector reveal why this is. Directly to Bavaria, no other State so strongly benefited from the renewable energy sources Act such as the heavily indebted Schleswig-Holstein, according to a study. The EEG provides for that wind farm operators wind energy by levy on the price of electricity paid each kilowatt-hour produced get. It rushes to the North, then ring the coffers of the wind farms. The bottom line €379 million remained Schleswig-Holstein last year.
A profitable windfarm in a municipality is therefore for a municipality such as winning the lottery. Around 40 million euros business taxes flowed according to the industry association windcomm municipalities of the country too, and every year. EUR 30 million be added could once again by more wind turbines on the newly designated areas. This revenue are now central to the budgets of local governments, says Albers.
North town Husum has blossomed in the meantime even secret wind capital of Germany. The town and harbour the Husum annual takes place in wind energy, the world's largest trade fair for wind energy. This year, the organizers expect only 46,000 visitors from 90 countries. The world's largest turbine producer of Vestas from Denmark has chosen to the headquarters of his Germany Husum. 60 Kilometres away Rendsburg, rival repower operates its world's largest center of switching and coordinated operation of 3,000 wind turbines around the world.   ..Multi-billion dollar investment in new wind farms.
Wind energy is now a multi-billion dollar business for Schleswig-Holstein. It should continue to grow. Alone on land, windcomm estimates the need for investment in new facilities to around three billion euros. To get the ambitious plans for the expansion of offshore wind power. Here the State Government reaches deep into the bag: with 11.5 million euros funding alone just the construction of a port terminal on Heligoland. Three offshore wind farms to come out before Germany's only offshore island. Also Büsum and Brunsbüttel want to establish for the offshore industry as service ports.
There is only a shortcoming in the success story - and that is the labour market statistics. Just once around 8,000 direct and indirect jobs hang asphalt on wind energy in Schleswig-Holstein.LESER comments on the 04.05.2012 at 11: 38 Uhr1. Na please, this is but mal ne good news.
hope turns so slowly into certainty. It works. Article very heartening. topomoos on the 04.05.2012 to 12: 22 Uhr2. Ambivalent Sun enrneuerbare energy production may be important. There is simply the other side of the coin: a convoluted, through industrialisiertes landscape. Just a few hours drive through Schlesweig-Holstein, you get heartburn and it will be aware, a landscape for human well-being and the quality of life is as important. As a holiday destination is SH burned. All the comments
